Last week we had a really positive visit from Barry Forde, the CEO of B4RN and David Ryall who came up to visit us for the afternoon. B4NTR Volunteer Taining Day!

As previously mentioned, David Ryall from B4RN will be back on the evening of Monday 7th October at Birtley Village Hall to hold the first session of volunteer training.  Anyone who is interested in making this project happen would be very welcome to attend. At present we need people willing to walk the proposed routes and make sure they are suitable, alongside working with the land owners to make sure we plan the best ways to cross their land. B4NTR Progress Report – September 2019

B4NTR have now taken their next step towards obtaining world class ultrafast broadband for North Tyneside and Redesdale! At a meeting on the 16th of September, 2019 David Ryall from B4RN revealed a detailed consultative network mapping plan for the parishes of Chollerton, Birtley and Corsenside. The parishes of Kirkwhelpington, Bavington, Wallington Demesne and Otterburn will follow shortly.  This means, if the project goes ahead, EVERY property in these parishes will be given the opportunity to obtain a 1GB broadband service.
