We’ve just heard some very good news!
We’ve had confirmation from the government they intend to honour our vouchers in the area and we’ve been given “Voucher Priority Status” locally by DCMS. See the videos below for the details if you missed what happened…
The vouchers were vital for funding the project and without them the project simply wasn’t viable. It’s took some time to come through, but it means we can move forward towards building.
Thanks to everyone who lobbied our MPs! “Voucher Priority Area” status has been confirmed for Barrasford, Kirkwhelpington and Woodburn areas in the project.
We’re waiting for the official line about this and that it includes the voucher top-up from the council, but things are looking suddenly a lot more positive.
